Our Services

Our Guarantee

If we cannot reduce your taxes you owe us nothing!

Free Tax Savings Estimate

Before we ever ask to represent you or ask for compensation, we will provide you a free tax savings estimate on your property.  If we do not think we can reduce your property taxes, we will not take you as a client.  If we think we have a good shot at a reduction, we would honor the opportunity to represent you at your protest hearing.  That way, you already know what you can expect to save before you hire us.

Signing up with us only requires three forms: we fill them out for you.  All you need to do is review and sign.  It’s really that easy!

As a client you will benefit from the following services:

  • We provide a comprehensive analysis when meeting with the appraisal district to negotiate a reduction in your home’s tax assessed value
  • You do not have to attending any hearings, we do all the work for you
  • You will receive personalized service from one of our agents as we work to achieve a reduction in your home’s assessed value
  • Minimal use of your time.
    • You can become a client over the phone.  We fill out the representation documents for you.  All you have to do is review, sign, and send back.  It’s that easy!
    • You never have to attend any hearings, we do it all for you.

TTP

Our Fees

  • We work on a contingency basis where our fee is a percentage of the computed estimated tax savings in the current tax year.  With a contingency arrangement, if we cannot reduce your property taxes, our services are free.  With this offer you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
  • Remember since you are paying us only a portion of the tax savings we earn for you, our service is value added.  The payment we receive would otherwise go to the tax assessor.  This is a no lose proposition for you!
  • Our contingency fee is 50% of this year’s estimated tax savings.  However, this fee is discounted to 40% of this year’s estimated tax savings if you settle your invoice within 30 days.  (See the sample calculation at the bottom of the page)
  • Invoices are typically sent July 20th of the current tax year, once assessed values are certified by the counties.
  • We realize that as a homeowner you do not pay your 2011 property taxes until January 31st, 2012.  Therefore, we offer a payment plan for homeowners.  You can elect to pay your invoice a little bit at a time from August 2011 to December 2011.   That allows you to spread out the payment, making things a little easier on your pocket book.
  • We require a small deposit to represent you.  With any service you get what you pay for.  We believe this $300 deposit is a testament to our business arrangement.
  • If we save you less than your deposit, we send you a check back for the difference with a “Paid in Full” invoice.  If we can’t reduce your taxes the entire $300 deposit is returned to you.
  • Also, the contingency fee is only applicable for the current tax year.  We do not receive a fee in any future year unless you request our representation again.

Sample Calculation

Q:  How are my tax savings calculated?
A:  For the tax year in question, subtract the property’s final assessed value (after the protest hearing) from it’s initial noticed value.  Then multiply the difference by the previous year’s total tax rate.  The resulting number equals the amount of taxed savings.

For example, if the initial assessed value of your home is $350,000 and the final assessed value achieved by Texas Tax Protest is $300,000 and your tax rate is 2.5%, then the property taxes saved are $1,250.
